Ooooh - can still feel the hot vile stench of their breath steaming in the ether.
Great piece of descriptive prose.
I'm thinking all the ways out of this predicament, and the only ones that come to mind, (like The Word Crafter) death by knife, but maybe try bartering first - come up with a better more enticing victim, like some beauty who comes looking for the newly weds - an avenging angel! ;)

I fared very well compared to most of those I met on the streets of New Orleans after Katrina. I find that all of us are having a harder time than it appears to others looking at us. Thanks for caring. Roland
Roland, your story was outstanding. I'm sure everyone who went through Katrina will have scars that will take a long time healing. It's wonderful that you go into your writing..:)
Denise, Donna was right. I read the story by clicking the picture. But when I went back and clicked the words new flash fiction, I got my dashboard. Blogger must he hexed. This time of year you really have to be careful who you upset.
