I caught myself holding my breath, all tensed up and waiting....

Tell me you're going to post all of it! I want to know what happens to them. Will he kill his wife to save her from the vampires?

Really atmospheric, took me right into the moment. Wow!

Thanks Words Crafter, I hope to post the end next week. Glad you got into it..:)

Hi,

Ooooh - can still feel the hot vile stench of their breath steaming in the ether.

Great piece of descriptive prose.

I'm thinking all the ways out of this predicament, and the only ones that come to mind, (like The Word Crafter) death by knife, but maybe try bartering first - come up with a better more enticing victim, like some beauty who comes looking for the newly weds - an avenging angel! ;)

best

Francine: Thanks for the suggestions! They rock!

Hi, came over from your comment at Suzanne Jones as I thought you may be interested in NaNoWrMo and I see you're all signed up. Me, too, though this is my first year so yet to complete all the profile info and will now go and hunt down the widget. I'm Scrubby there and I'll buddy up with you here and there. Nice to find another Aussie blogger!

Love those names!

Definitely have to read more. From the comments, I'm missing pieces of the plot - and I don't like that.

Off to read the rest . .

That was interesting:

I clicked on your "new flash fiction" link and it took me to - my own blogger dashboard. Twice.

Donna, that's weird. It must have worked in the end as I got your comment. I know the link works as I've tried it often enough. Thanks for reading the entire story. Of course the ending will be rad..:)

Thanks for such kind words on my story in the 13 DAYS OF HORROR series. It meant a lot to me.

I fared very well compared to most of those I met on the streets of New Orleans after Katrina. I find that all of us are having a harder time than it appears to others looking at us. Thanks for caring. Roland

Denise Covey said...

Roland, your story was outstanding. I'm sure everyone who went through Katrina will have scars that will take a long time healing. It's wonderful that you go into your writing..:)

I'm thinking a scary story for this time of the year should feature Joh Bjelke-Petersen - I remember good old Joh!

Suzanne Ross Jones said...

Oh, fab. Well done.

Nick: Now why bring up dear ole Joh now. Vipunin is scary enough..:)

Suzanne: Thanks and hope all goes well..:)
