I'm first one here, hooray! Love your Christmas-y header. I have a Christmas memory (memoir) I thought of posting. Don't know if I can do it as part of the Blogfest -- Sigh. lol I got confused with the term, holiday! At first I was thinking of posting a pic from one of my cruises, then I realised you meant holiday season! hahahahaha! I'm not sure I can post a pic anymore. I still don't have the Christmas tree up!! Meh, I'll think of something. I'll likely post something on 20th. :)

Hmm, your fest looks like fun. A bit time-challenged at the moment with holiday goodies, and we're leaving on the 21st for NO. But, hmm, will see how all opens up.
I smiled from ear to ear when I read your comment on Marcy's post. About the dialect - yes! You got it! Yay! Rings is a snapshot of a difficult period in a (mentally) layered region. A lot of people died. I didn't want the reader to fly in and cruise through. By using dialect the reader had to go through customs, so to speak.

LOVE your header!
Painting tree branches white ... waiting for them to dry .... then glittering them. I thought I was finished until I put the arrangement together (this is my tree this year... Something different and VERY DESIGNERY... is that a word? lol)... the glass icicles and ornaments weighed down the branches too much and now I have too much space in between them.... EEEEKKKK! So off to the park I went this morning for more....
I need the rest of this week, including the weekend to finish... WHY must I be sooooo INSANE about having everything so designery..... Oops, there's that word again.... LOL.

Finally finished decorating the tree...now I have to wrap gifts and place underneath! Then the cooking starts...x
