ON WRITING

“It’s very easy to quit during the first ten years of writing. Nobody cares whether you write or not, and it’s very hard to write when nobody cares one way or the other. You can’t get fired if you don’t write, and most of the time you don’t get rewarded if you do. But don’t quit.” Andre Dubus

  2. Are those *real* edible candy canes? I've never seen one that HUGE before. It'd take weeks for me to eat one that big.

  19. What a sweet picture ;)
After years of making the mistake of putting real candy canes on the tree, last year I bought glass ones. It's amazing they are still there when we take the tree down on Twelfth Night.
    Happy New Year.
