GUESS THE TRUE STATEMENT; WIN JESSICA BELL'S THRILLER, WHITE LADY! (Statement #63)

To celebrate the release of Jessica Bell's latest novel, WHITE LADY, she is giving away an e-copy (mobi, ePub, or PDF) to the first person to correctly guess the one true statement in the three statements below. To clarify, two statements are lies, and one is true:

Jessica Bell has a dog. It is a ...
a. Pointer
b. Black Labrador
c. Dalmatian

What do you think? Which one is true? Write your guess in the comments, along with your email address. Comments will close in 48 hours. If no-one guesses correctly within in 48 hours, comments will stay open until someone does.

Want more chances to win? You have until October 31 to visit all the blogs where Jessica will share a different set of true and false statements on each one. Remember, each blog is open to comments for 48 hours only from the time of posting.

If you win, you will be notified by email with instructions on how to download the book.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

*This novel contains coarse language, violence, and sexual themes.

Sonia yearns for sharp objects and blood. But now that she's rehabilitating herself as a "normal" mother and mathematics teacher, it's time to stop dreaming about slicing people's throats.

While being the wife of Melbourne's leading drug lord and simultaneously dating his best mate is not ideal, she's determined to make it work.

It does work. Until Mia, her lover's daughter, starts exchanging saliva with her son, Mick. They plan to commit a crime behind Sonia's back. It isn't long before she finds out and gets involved to protect them.

But is protecting the kids really Sonia's motive?

Dalmatian? I think she's mentioned it before on her blog, but not sure of the breed.

My first dog was a Black Labrador mix, so out of love for Shorty (my first dog), I will say Black Lab. :-) WHITE LADY seems appropriate for Halloween!

(Dalmatian). I'm sure I've seen a photo of the big pup, but Alex guessed that first.

Thanks so much for having me! I'll be back in a couple of days to check on comments and reveal the winner. PS: Alex already has the book, he is just playing because he's fun like that.

Yep I was going to say Dalmatian. Nope, don't want to win the book thanks. Not reading murder and mayhem much any more.

Oooh! I love ghost stories.

Jessica, you're everywhere. Way to go! I'm going to say the dog is a lab? (Only because that's what I'd get if I had a dog.)

PS - I was not able to download the pdf advance copy as I must have waited too long. Too busy with hubs and the hospital. Sheesh.

Been seeing White Lady all over the blogosphere, and it sounds like such an intense read. Congrats to Jessica!

And oh, the ghost story challenge sounds like a lot of fun! Since art is an option for this, I might have to consider taking part, if I can find the time... :)

Denise Covey said...

That happened to me too, D.G.

Denise Covey said...

Hi Heather, I'd love to see some art for the challenge. :)

Hi Denise - love the two pages you've pictured - what a great way of promoting Jess' book - her psychological thrillers I'm sure would give me sleepless nights ...

Art for the ghost stories .. now that would be amazing .. except I can't for the love of life draw or paint or ... I could throw paint!?

As for Jess' dog - I think it may be a Dalmatian .. but I'm going for a Pointer .. cheers Hilary

ohhh! I want to read this one. It's a thriller, just what I love. Congratulations to Jessica!

I'm sure you'll enjoy it Nas!

I thought the 2 pages were an interesting insight into the book.

Denise Covey said...

Plenty of murder and mayhem in our daily papers. Fictional murder is better.

Denise Covey said...

Ah, you're a sharp one Alex.

Denise Covey said...

Yes White lady is very appropriate for Halloween.

Hi Denise - I've just won a copy .. not sure where from?! Cheers Hilary

Jo, you would have been the winner if you'd wanted the book, as Alex and D.G. already have it! And no worries about not being interested in it. Everyone has their own tastes. Take care.
