Who am I? If I were a season I'd be Spring. How about you?

This is how I'm feeling today on a lovely Spring Sunday. It's NaNo month, so here is a blog entry I've had in the editing suite for sometime. An easy, yet fun post for those of us who must post!

I saw this on a Writer's Ramblings some time ago, and I've filled it out myself. I'd love to hear yours...I've added a few to the original...

- If I were a season, I’d be Spring.

- If I were a month, I’d be June.

- If I were a day of the week, I’d be Sunday.

- If I were a time of day, I’d be 9pm.

- If I were a planet, I’d be Venus.

- If I were a direction, I’d be South.

- If I were a tree, I’d be a eucalyptus.

- If I were a flower, I’d be a lavender sprig.

- If I were a fruit, I’d be a mango.

- If I were a land animal, I’d be a horse.

- If I were a sea animal, I’d be a dolphin.

- If I were a bird, I’d be an eagle.

- If I were a piece of furniture, I’d be an art deco lamp.

- If I were a liquid, I’d be tea.

- If I were a stone, I’d be turquoise.

- If I were a tool, I’d be a plane.

- If I were a kind of weather, I’d be sunshine.

- If I were a musical instrument, I’d be a guitar.
- If I were a colour, I’d be white (uh, hum, it is a colour!)
- If I were a facial expression, I’d be a smile.

- If I were an emotion, I’d be happiness.

- If I were a sound, I’d be water running over smooth stones.

- If I were an element, I’d be water.

- If I were a car, I’d be a classic.

- If I were a food, I’d be cheesecake.

- If I were a place, I’d be France.

- If I were a flavour, I’d be chocolate.

- If I were a scent, I’d be lavender.

- If I were an object, I’d be a Mont Blanc pen.

- If I were a body part, I’d be a hand.

- If I were a song, I’d be "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" - U2.

- If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be ballet flats.

- If I were transportation, I’d be a plane.

- If I were a fairy tale, I’d be Cinderella.
- If I were a holiday, I’d be Christmas.
- If I were a novel, I'd be Beach Music by Pat Conroy.
- If I were a movie, I'd be Moonlight and Valentino.

All right - your turn!

BTW - fans of my vampire mini-serial, I've just posted the final episode on my flash writing blog here. Do Ciassia and Sibon die? What is going on here?

I'm posting this tomorrow on my blog with my answers. Some of them were really hard to think of stuff.

Thanks for sharing!

You can't argue with being Christmas :P Super fun!

As a writer sometimes I'd be summer because I sizzle when I write.

Oh, but then I'd have to be winter for when the reception of my works grows cold from publishers, agents, and readers alike.

Ah, but then I can be spring when I fall in love with a new storyline idea.

And yet sometimes I must be fall, for when I go to harvest the idea seeds I planted in the spring and cultivate them through revision.

I am a writer of all seasons.

The Words Crafter: I'll look forward to popping by next week! I should be NaNoing!

Rachael: Thanks. I'd like to hear about you!

Carole Anne: I'd like to read through your thought too!

Jai: Thanks. Please do it!

Kristal: I'll be looking forward to reading yours!

Erica: Ha ha.Glad you liked it.

Jeffrey: I would expect you to say exactly what you said. Clever guy and I follow you absolutely..:)

What a cool post! I know if I were a season I'd be autumn--which makes it all the harder for me to be an American living abroad here in Australia right now. The U.S. is in full autumn now, whereas here, we don't really get turning leaves and crisp fall days...

What a neat way to give a bit of insight into your personality. :)

Denise Covey said...

Thanks Meagan. Yeah, it's only in a few parts of oz that you get the autumn leaves - northern NSW is fantastic and some parts of Victoria. Queensland certainy doesn't.

I was in France one autumn, around Chinon, and was in heaven driving about with roads flanked by autumn tones. Delish..:)

I love the idea behind this post, and in particular I love that we can see your answers without knowing why you chose them. It means I learn a lot about you, and get to imagine a little about you as well.

Denise Covey said...

Amie, your comment is so cool. I wondered about explaining why, but I think it is good to imagine too!

Interesting and great to read. I was gonna do it myself in the comments, but then I saw how long it was. Haha!

Anyway, if I were a season, I'd be fall.

Denise Covey said...

Quinn, would have been interested in your comments. Fall is a popular choice..:)

It's autumn here and I'm already missing the sunshine and long, light evenings so I guess I'd be summer :o)

Hi,

If I were to write in your worded path: the outcome would be similar! ;)

Ooh Lavender fields - the perfumed ether and rustling purple plumes.

Will be back later to indulge in Vamp reading.

Ps, have I said thanks for posting up banner? Thanks muchly.

I loved reading your answers! I won't answer everything, but suffice it to say I'm a Fall girl, and my favorite month is October (my birthday, though that's not why I like it) and one of my favorite songs is, you guessed it, October by U2.

Very nice, I love the pictures. Hmmm, I will add three.
If I were a color I'd be Caribbean sea blue.
If I were a scent I'd be magnolia.
If I were a song, I'd be Annie's Song by John Denver.

Thanks for adding a name to my contest list. Stop back on Tuesday to see the winner and anytime to read my post.

What a gorgeous picture! Did you take it?

If I were a season, I'd be summer. (And summers get hot in Texas.)

Loved this :)

Len Lambert said...

Hi L'Aussie!!! I'd be a mango too if I were a fruit!!! I'd be Spring, too! :) This is very interesting, I enjoyed reading it! :)

Denise Covey said...

Karen: I hope your autumn is okay. Every season has its good/bad points..:)

Francine: Yep, I'm not surprised. We seem to share lots of similarities. Yes, you did thank me for putting up the banner for the freaky fairy tales..:)

Lydia: October would be my bday month too! Anything by U2 gets my vote!

NR Williams: I love all your choices! I have 2 gem magnolias growing at the beach house. Their lemon scent is diving but only lasts a day or two. Love Annie's Song (love John Denver) and like the sound of Caribbean blue..:)

Alexandra: Steal it, but let me know!

Helen: Sadly, no. When I drove past these fields the lavender wasn't in flower, boo hoo. Summer in texas sounds hot and dry. Brave you. I love summer, but only if I'm near the beach or a pool or air con!

Marieke: Thanks!

Len: Mangoes are hard to beat! Spring is beautiful in Oz..:)

I'd be winter...
And really cool my book arrived! Hope you enjoy it.

Denise Covey said...
